Submit ReviewMy parents used 2 different contraceptives to avoid having a 7th child, I came anyway, lol! I am what is called a divine birth. From the final push from my mother's womb into this world, I never felt like I belonged. I am the black sheep in my family and the outcast in the world, I never fit in despite attempting to give up my identity to try to. I became aware that I was "different" when I was 5 years old because I began to tap into having the access to other's people's feelings and thoughts that surrounded emotional pain and trauma.
I was a very wise soul and knew that I should not share these abilities for fear of not being believed and also possibly being sent somewhere far from my family. I learned how to disconnect from not only my feelings but those around me. At the age of 7, my father abandoned me and my 6 sisters and never looked back. We suffered severely emotionally and financially and because of this, I developed a father wound that followed me into my relationships with men, myself, and money. My life later would magnetize events, soul lessons, that had I been consciously aware of their purpose, I would have known they were there to help heal me and clear my soul. However, I did not have that awareness and continued to experience great depths of pain and trauma for nearly 40 years until I hit rock bottom and awakened.
At the age of 47, I was left with, doing what I had helped and guided others to do in my 18-year career in social work, examine their lives, look for patterns and face the pain. My journey towards healing led me to examine family karma and the DNA of emotional pain along with my being a Black Indian woman and my ancestry surrounding having the blood of 2 distinct cultures, Native American and Nigerian and also finally understanding the spiritual gifts that I once ran from. Not only did I arrive at my healing with God's grace and guidance but I discovered that my healing activated fulfilling an ancient soul contract linked to my great-great grandmother Lucinda Starflower 1872-1892 who was a Shaman but had died at the age of 20 years old.
Through my mother Rose the matriarch and storyteller of our family, I leaned in and listened again to the stories that I grew up on but this time with eagerness and attention. It has been 6 years since my healing using the channeled messages from my ancestors that were sent to me, today I proudly step forth to use all my personal and professional experiences along with my education and gifts to guide and empower women towards using all of who they are to bring their light in serving the world in a unique way!
