My name’s Damian, and I’m based in a chilly London – perfect weather for staying at home and watching lots of football! I’ve just watched the Manchester City vs Arsenal and the Leicester City v Manchester United matches on Sunday – two wins for the Manchester sides – as well as the derby de Lisboa between two of the big sides from the Portuguese capital Lisbon: Sporting and Benfica which the away side Benfica ran out 4-2 comfortable winners. I also managed to see my favourite team Tottenham beat Newcastle in the Premier League yesterday so lots of football on TV! Now regular listeners will know that Damon, who is based in Tokyo, is normally with us but this week he is on his travels so it’s just me. So, what do we have on this week’s show? Line-up DF: We start off by looking back at some of the football stories from the week and then we have our weekly football-language question. After that we explain another football expression and this week we focus on the verbal phrase ‘to fall kindly for‘. Then at the end of the show we have some predictions where we look at a couple of the Premier League fixture taking place this weekend.
