But even though there’s uncertainty in what’s to come, we rejoice in how this organization is finally being held accountable. The rest of the episode is a celebration of how many movies we should all get excited about for the next 6-8 months. We got studio by studio, slate by slate, and yes, film by film to discuss all of the potential awards level movies for next year’s Oscar race. For the last 3 years at least, we’ve incorporated 2 episodes in each new Year In Preview Series, what Mike and I call “The Pictures” and “The Picks.” This, of course, is our episode on “The Pictures,” where we enjoy around a hundred snapshot previews of all the potential contenders for the upcoming films 94th Academy Awards.
