The hosts welcome Scouching back to the show to discuss what the Montreal Canadiens can do with their other 13 picks in the NHL Draft, and what kind of philosophy the team should be using when trying to suss out potential gems in the NHL Draft. Scouch breaks down where the Habs have struggled in the past under previous GM's and what Kent Hughes can do to help modernize a team that has lagged behind a little bit in terms of NHL quality. 

Scott then picks Scouch's brain on who he thinks the biggest risks are in the Draft, and who might be a hidden sleeper due to a variety of reasons. Scouch lists of his picks, and explains that a player being a risky pick doesn't mean there isn't still value to be found, and that someone picked 20th, who was ranked lower can still become a quality prospect if given the proper tending. The same goes for falling players or later picks, like a Brad Lambert or Seamus Casey, their value as the picks get higher in number can only increase, and for a team like Montreal they're well worth spending picks on if they have the chance. 

On the flipside Laura wants to know more about how the Habs can use a modern analysis of the game to find a truly new-age defender who can bring some offensive upside and skill. Scouch outlines some names that would be on his list if he were the Habs, and why they fit the mold of where the team should be going. Players like Kaiden Guhle and Jordan Harris are great in their own right, but surrounding them with complimentary player type is something Montreal hasn't done in the past, but they can fix right now.
