Things get a little crazy on this week’s episode – but not before the guys check out the soon-to-be-released Bastille Day from director James Watkins in another SPOILER-FREE review (no, seriously, we kept it short and sweet so as not to ruin it for those of you interested in catching this Idris Elba vehicle).
Paul and Wayne then offer slightly different interpretations of the best duos in films, with Wayne going for odd couples and Paul listing the best buddies (though not necessarily cops) in films. Wayne maintains Paul went off brief; Paul argues that after 58 episodes he was about due to finally be the one to make up his own rules (just for a change). Whoever’s fault it was (Protip: Paul does write these show notes), there’s more than the usual eyebrow-raising, head-shaking and consternation at one another’s choices, with Wayne in particular taking his “odd couple” list further than ever should have been discussed.
