A native Ohioan, Duan Tran earned his bachelor's degree from the University of
Miami Ohio and a master's degree from the University of Southern California. He
has worked for several distinguished firms in both Ohio and Washington DC prior to
joining KAA in 2000. Since then, Duan has overseen several high profile custom
residential projects for many notable clients. His projects have been recognized for
design by the AIA, as well as have been featured in several national shelter
publications, including Architectural Digest.
Drawn to and fundamentally inspired by Southern California's vibrant lifestyle and
culture, Duan's design approach seeks to infuse this influence with an inherent
optimism through fun, warm, and contextually relevant design.
Duan is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a licensed
Architect in the states of Nevada and Hawaii. He is certified by the National Council
of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is also a member of the University
of Southern California's Architectural Guild and the Los Angeles Conservancy.
