Elegant living for everyday life is the foundation of Amanda Barnes Interiors. Designing functional and sophisticated spaces for families to enjoy for years to come is the focus for each project from start to finish. Being a mother of two herself, Amanda takes a practical approach to selecting fabrics, layering textures and picking pieces that will transition with the family as they grow. Her inspiration is drawn from her southern California roots growing up at the beach and blended with her time spent in Santa Barbara and San Francisco. Her love for the coast is reflected in the neutral color palette she is most connected to.   Amanda graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Biopsychology. She went on to spend the next thirteen years in biotech primarily focused on Neurosciences. For many of the years spent in corporate America Amanda spent her time on the side helping friends and family with their renovations and design projects. After getting married and starting a family, Amanda finally followed her heart into design and founded Amanda Barnes Interiors. Her work has been featured in several online publications including Architectural Digest, MyDomaine and Style Me Pretty Living.   Amanda, her husband, Ryan, and their two children reside in the Bay Area. They spend as much time as they can outdoors enjoying the mild California climate and almost year round alfresco living. For Amanda, splitting time between her family and her passion curating beautiful spaces is a dream come true. She believes gratitude is a state of mind and that life's greatest adventures are found outside of our comfort zone.
