t’s not often that we have bar patrons as guests on the show but today’s episode features just that. Valerie Franco @SeeValDrum is a regular patron at some of the best bars in the country. Her job as a touring drummer (currently with Hayley Kiyoko @HayleyKiyoko) takes her to every corner of the country. I caught up with her while she was visiting NYC to sit in as guest drummer on Late Night with Seth Meyers @LateNightSeth

Her interest in cocktails was sparked a few years ago with a visit to Amor y Amargo @AmoryAmargo and now she seeks out the best bars she can find while touring. Valerie also has her own podcast called Behind The Beat @GetBehindTheBeat where she and her co-host John talk about the difficult road to success behind a drum kit as well as discussing what it’s like to navigate life as an outspoken member of the LGBTQ community.
