Submit ReviewThe song “Headlights” was a fan favorite for decades. Skirting a hybrid combination of heavy guitar riffs and sometimes strange vocal inflections, Andrew describes his inspiration behind the name. We discuss the infamous “Pumping Pumping Pumping” move that Andrew does during live shows and how Andrew’s physicality on stage can occasionally be problematic to his fellow bandmates.
“Headlights” is a moody song, there is no doubt about that. It’s very nature is the tension and release between anxiety and pondering prudence.
Andrew’s interpretation of getting labeled (at a young age) and his connection to his own sanity is what drove the lyrical content in a way that could only be defined as a peering into self-exploration and questioning one’s own sanity.
After a discussion about the difference between psychopaths and narcissists we talk about the crescendo of Jeff’s drums and building to the outro, with some quick snippets of music. This Podcast ends with talking about labeling people and feelings… The heavy-handed humor for a heavy subject that is the Henry’s Child song “Headlights”.
