Welcome to episode 24 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels. On this episode, Dennis and Taxus discuss current Star Wars news, recent Celebration updates, Chuck Wendig's Aftermath: Empire's End, and the latest episode of Rebels, "Double Agent Droid." In addition, keep calm, reports of the demise of The Clone Wars on Netflix were greatly exaggerated. After a week off, this episode marks the triumphant return of "Silence Fools!." So, get ready for episode 24: Keep Calm and Clone Wars On.

Recent Star Wars News

As always, the guys discuss recent Star Wars news. Although the Oscars snubbed Rogue One, it still has a chance for some awards. Find out what it is nominated for. Next, Lucasfilm recently announced the fourth season of Rebels, and therefore, Dennis and Taxus discuss what this means going forward. In addition, the Han Solo spinoff movie adds another member of the cast. J.J. Abrams believes Mark Hamill should win an Oscar for his portrayal of Luke Skyalkwer in The Last Jedi. This is a bold claim. However, he made the claim before anyone outside Disney and Lucasfilm saw footage. Dennis and Taxus discuss Abram's brash claim. Plus, the guys discuss a few other recent news items.

Aftermath: Empire's End

Chuck Wendig concluded the Aftermath trilogy with Empire's End. Since the conclusion of Life Debt, readers and fans wondered about Palpatine's installation on Jakku. Finally, readers have their answers. Dennis and Taxus compare Empire's End to the previous novels in the series during their review. In addition, they discuss what this novel means to the sequel trilogy, the First Order, and more.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando Announcements

After discussing recent news, the guys next turn to recent Star Wars Celebration Orlando announcements. Fans that like video games will probably enjoy EA's presence at Celebration. Also, the list of Star Wars celebrities signing autographs continues to grow. Find out who Lucasfilm and Reed Pop confirmed this week. Although the release of Thrawn occurs prior to Celebration, Timothy Zahn fans have a reason to be excited. Dennis and Taxus discuss that reason in this episode plus other Celebration announcements. Spoilers: Dave Filoni, Rebels, Vanessa Marshall, Rebels, Star Wars Galactic Nights, and Rebels.

Double Agent Droid

Rebels returns with an AP-5 and Choppercentric story, "Double Agent Droid." After the Empire compromises Chopper, Hera and the Rebels must fight their loyal but grumpy droid. In addition, they must act quickly before Chopper transmits the location of the Rebel Base. Oh, this episode also features Josh Gad. In addition, anything Chopper can do, AP-5 can do better. Just ask him.

Silence Fools!

Finally, it wouldn't be an episode of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels if the guys didn't attempt to answer listener feedback in "Silence Fools!" This week a loyal listener emailed with his experiences related to Fan Expo Dallas.
