Submit ReviewClassical Chinese Medicine has become a transformative part of my own health and wellbeing, and I am thrilled to have an expert on the podcast to share about her practice and experience! Samantha Story MS, L.Ac is an acupuncturist and healer based in New York City. Samantha stumbled upon Chinese Medicine and in it found the language and framework to describe the way she has always viewed the world.
In this episode, Samantha gives us a primer on Classical Chinese Medicine, how it differs from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and covers the basics of acupuncture and how it works. She also shares about starting her business, overcoming the discomfort of asking for money, the magic of continuity, and working with judgement.
And just when you think it’s over… Samantha turns the tables and asks me about my experience with Chinese Medicine! I talk about receiving treatment at the Daoist Traditions Student Clinic, and the books that Samantha had suggested that I read including The Web That Has No Weaver by Ted Kaptchuk, Between Heaven and Earth by Harriet Beinfield and Efrem Korngold, and Stone Medicine by Leslie J. Franks. I also mention Ro Giuliano of Dreamers and Diviners who was my first acupuncturist.
