Submit ReviewThis week we chat with writer, director and producer Dutch Marich! He recently terrified Unnamed Footage Festival with Horror in the High Desert 2 and it and the first movie in the franchise are out on VOD. We chat about making the films and Dutch explains why the second one isn't the social media influencers referenced at the end of the first film. We also discuss growing up in the very isolated town of Ruth, Nevada and a creepy story about camping there one night. Then we dig into the movie that scarred him for life: the Sigourney Weaver/Holly Hunter-starring thriller Copycat! We talk about why the movie was traumatizing, the power couple of Weaver and Hunter, 90s-era technology, Ernest P. Worrell and so much more.
Dutch also gives us a hint of what's coming up for him, including an exclusive announcement of a film he's working on outside of the Horror in the High Desert franchise!!!
