In rural 1940’s Ireland, Moll McCarthy lived an unconventional life, having a number of children out of wedlock and living with them in a small cottage near New Inn, Co. Tipperary. Harry Gleeson was the manager of a nearby farm, and when Moll was found shot dead in a field that he had recently ploughed, Harry found himself accused of Moll’s murder. Were the two having an illicit affair, or was Harry wrongly accused and the victim of a conspiracy of silence, with ties to the IRA? Theme Music: Quinn’s Song: First Night Kevin MacLeod (
