Presenter John Urquhart guides learners through the intricacies of the Gaelic language, dialects, idioms and sayings. In this week’s programme John shares clips from the BBC’s Gaelic output which he uses to illustrate some of the complexities of the language, grammar help is on hand from resident expert Dr Michel Byrne and Roddy Maclean takes a look at some of Scotland’s Gaelic placenames.
The programme also features the first in a new series of traditional tales, presented by Màiri Sìne Campbell who also chats to Ishbel Murray and recounts how she became fluent in the language.
