Submit ReviewWith the recent release of the DCEU’s brand-new JUSTICE LEAGUE film, we’ve decided to celebrate Thanksgiving week with a look back at the first attempt by the WB to fit multiple superheroes into one film, 2016’s BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (THE ULTIMATE EDITION).
On its initial release, BVSDOJ was pretty solidly dismissed by critics and word of mouth alike. However, upon its release on Blu-Ray, The Extended Edition was released, giving us what many consider a more “complete” film and one worthy of a second look.
So join us as we review and dissect the movie as it was meant to be seen and attempt to determine is The Ultimate Edition worthy of thanks by way of Movie Redemption, or is it still just a turkey of a film (see what we did there)?
SYNOPSIS: It's been nearly two years since Superman's (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.
