What were the several factors? Is the front office scared of the backlash that they will receive due to the disappointing and embarrassing season? Do Sox brass just not have the stomach to handle the public criticism after the Sox turned in one of the most dejecting seasons in franchise history? There will be no SoxFest but according to NBC Sports Chicago, Ozzie Guillen will be interviewed for the open managerial position. Houston Astros bench coach, Joe Espada, is also rumored to be not only in the running still but is expected to be hired as the next White Sox manager.
