He joined the company in 2015 taking care previously of Eastern Europe and UK markets, and then USA, Americas and Asia Pacific. Flavio comes to us from the Veneto/Friuli region with +18 years in the wine business. He comes from a family of small wine producers for 3 generations and previously he managed small to medium-sized Italian wineries from different regions. He graduated in Economics at the University of Padua, with “honors” on his final exam focused onwine marketing. He accomplished the diplomas of: -​ONAV (Italian Organization of Wine Tasters) -​FISAR (Italian Federation of Sommeliers) -​WSET 2 -​Slow Food Wine level 3. He has been a board member of the Friuli DOC Wine Consortium, and professor of Wine Marketing at the CUOA Master Foundation in Altavilla Vicentina (VI). He was requested to doseminars about wine export and marketing for the prestigious Schools of Winemakers of Conegliano and San Michele all’Adige. He is first and foremost a great wine lover, always seeking new wines and looking to discover new winemakers; he tries to visit wineries in Italy and abroad and attend wine-tasting evenings whenever possible. He is firmly convinced that education is crucial in the wine business, and he did many Masterclasses and professional tastings about Villa Sandi and Borgo Conventi in the past years, with appreciable results in terms of brand awareness and sales.
