In 1979 Jane Fonda, aka Hanoi Jane (at the time (or maybe to some still)), took home her second Oscar for Coming Home. This was a monumental win not only for Fonda but also her career. Much of America believed her to be a traitor to her own country due to bad selfie stick moments in Vietnam #oops. As a result, she didn’t work in any major motion pictures for years after the incident and her movie career kind of tanked… I really have so much respect for this woman, not just as an actress but also as a brand reinvigorator. She completely remedied her public image over time and won an Oscar, not bad. Other nominees that year included Geraldine Page for Interiors, Ingrid Bergman in Autumn Sonata, Ellen Burstyn in Same Time, Next Year, and Jill Clayburgh for An Unmarried Woman. Who do you think should have won? Join host Kyle Brownrigg with guest host Dan Dillabough as they discuss.
