1980 wasn’t the year arcade games made their first appearance, but it brought us some of the most important and iconic game ever. They ushered in a golden era of video games and helped influenced a wide variety of other games and media.

Do you remember the year certain arcade games were released? Probably not, but if there was any year that deserves to be remembered it’s 1980. Pac-Man, Centipede, Missile Command, Berzerk, and more ushered in a Golden Age of arcades and became the catalyst for cartoons, songs, toys, and beach towels. And they helped inspire tons of other games that evolved into what we have today. How do you enjoy video games?
