Rob Bolger grew up in famous Reseda, California, just up the block from the original apartment building Ralph Macchio lived, in the original Karate Kid films. He tells America's Podcaster, Kurt Caceres, how he went from a guitar tech touring with The Go-Go's, to working on some of the biggest Hollywood films such as Ali and The Italian Job. Currently he is David Boreanaz personal costumer on the hit show, Seal Team. His job is to analyze every inch of clothing on an actor for continuity, dirt, buttons and fine details. He often finds himself analyzing peoples wardrobe when he meets someone new in real life, and he calls this "Elevator Eyes", because he gives everyone a once-over from top to bottom. He really breaks down the hierarchy and pecking order of the costume world in Hollywood, and shares in-depth experiences from life on set. Dealing with manic celebrities, background actors and even directors, takes a special person to do "whatever is needed", instead of being difficult to work with. The industry is all about nepotism, not about degrees and education. If you have a good attitude, stellar reputation and exemplary work ethic, people will want to work with you time and again. Please Follow and Subscribe to the Podcast.
