Dominic Lewis is a British-born composer and has written original scores for Peter Rabbit, Rough Night and Money Monster. He is slated to score Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween and Disney XD’s revitalized “Duck Tales.” He has also contributed music to high-profile projects such as: How to Train Your Dragon, Rango, Kung Fu Panda 2, Captain Phillips, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Kingsman: The Secret Service.
One of Lewis’ more recent projects has been for Amazon’s Emmy winning series, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE. The series debuted on Amazon’s Prime Video platform in January 2015 and is now in its third season.
The Man in the High Castle is based on Philip K. Dick's award-winning novel. It is executive produced by Ridley Scott and Frank Spotnitz. The series explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States.
In this episode, Lewis talks about the origins of the series’ unnerving title theme and how he came to the surprising use of a song from the musical Cabaret in season 2. He also shares about a number of his original themes for the series’ main characters and how they evolved over the course of the first two seasons.
