Episode 142: Design Training Programs That Set You Up to Win

As a vendor in business resilience, Asfalis Advisors often gets called in to do a one-and-done training with companies, but we know there is a lot more that goes into proper training than covering the basics one time. In this episode, we’re sharing how you can design a training program for your teams that sets everyone up for success.

Some of the key takeaways include:

  • Identify who you’re training. Are you training at the strategic level, the operational level, or the tactical level?

  • What are the behaviors you want to see change and evolve over time? One and done training is not going to create the muscle memory for your teams to jump into action during a crisis.

  • Determine how frequent your training needs to be in order to promote that muscle memory. Is it monthly training on the basics followed by quarterly tune-ups? The cadence should be tailored to your goals.
