Jake hosts Deep Cover: Mob Land which is a new podcast in its second season. Deep Cover takes a single subject and situation and develops it out to its conclusion. For example, in the first season, Jake starts interviewing a retired FBI agent named Ned Timmons as he tells how he was assigned to work undercover on a Motorcycle Gang. By the end of the first season, Jake has interviewed other agents, several convicted marijuana smugglers as the listener hear how the first simple undercover assignment ended with Ned Timmons helping to make a case on General Manuel Noriega. In the second season just released, Jake interviews Bob Cooley who was a corrupt Chicago Mob lawyer. Jake discusses how Cooley bribed Judge Frank Wilson to bring back a “not guilty” verdict in the murder trial of the infamous Chicago Outfit hitman Harry Aleman. He was able to get interviews with an Outfit man who knew Colley as a “fixer,” Franke Forliano (Aleman’s daughter), and several FBI agents who worked this case.
