Can you believe it's already been a whole week since we recorded the last episode of Oilersnation Radio? You can't, can you? No, I didn't think so. Fortunately, the wait is over and we've got a fresh podcast that's ready for your earholes just in time for the weekend.

To start off this week's podcast, we briefly walked through the new Nation podcast studio that we've been working on at HQ for the past few months. While there are certainly bugs that need to be worked out, we thought it would be fun to give the studio its first run on today's episode of ON Radio so please give us your feedback so that we can work on improving what gets turned out. Back to business, we started our Oilers coverage with a look at Connor McDavid and the possibility that he may not play any pre-season games. Does it matter? Obviously, you'd want the guy getting some reps in before the season kicks off, but if that doesn't happen, is it really a huge deal? Next up, we looked at Kyle Brodziak's incredible NHL career after news broke that he would be sitting out this season as a result of some nagging injuries. With over 900 NHL games under his belt, there is no doubt that Kyle Brodziak had a very impressive career and we wanted to give him a proper send-off. From there we took another look at the Oilers' defence and tried to decide which jobs are truly up for grabs. Earlier today, Oscar Klefbom said that he expects to play alongside Joel Persson to start training camp and we wondered how that duo will look with Persson coming over for his first year in North America. Lastly, we answered a Cooom hypothetical that he sent in from Northern Ireland that saw us building a new front office staff for the Oilers that is made up of only post-glory days players.
