Podcast Mission (3:40)

My mission for today is to teach you how to cold call profitably.  You’ll learn which types of hands should go into your pre-flop cold calling ranges and why.  I’ll teach you what you must consider before clicking that call button pre-flop, and why it’s okay to stay tight and have a fairly small calling range.

Podcast Challenge (31:00)

Here’s my challenge to you for this episode: Use the cold calling ranges I presented here over the next week. Record your thoughts on them and the results from your poker tracking software. Make adjustments as you review your hand histories and find hands that just don’t work for you and ditch them, or add hands that you wish were in the ranges. The more you use cold calling ranges, the tighter and stronger your calling ranges will be, making you a thorn in the side of your opponents and earning you more of their chips.
