Gillian Russell and the team continue to open the "Advent Calendar" of festive stresses, unpicking and resolving them for a happier, healthier Christmas! This week - how do we juggle all the social pressures (work party, kids' nativity play, mince pies with the neighbours, night out with friends, helping at the school Christmas fayre etc etc etc) without getting stressed to the max?! Mum of two and businesswoman Nikki Cinderey talks about social pressures, over-committing and struggling to say no. Life coach and founder of Mi-365 Pete Cohen explains why we find it difficult to say no and advises on how we can learn to decline invitations without feeling guilt or obligation. Mindfulness expert and author of The Art Of Breathing Dr Danny Penman explains how mindfulness can help us deal with the sheer amount of social pressures and commitments we feel at this time of year. How much of an impact does the increase in socialising have on our eating, drinking and exercise regime throughout December? Nikki shares her experiences while Danny and Pete describe ways to keep ourselves on top of our fitness and health during the festive period ... without going all bah humbug!
