The Carolina Panthers report to Training Camp at Wofford in five days. Ahead of the season, Julian Council lists several young players who need to take the next step in order for the Panthers to have a major bounceback season in 2022.

ESPN ranked Carolina 31st in their NFL Future Power Rankings 2022, projecting all 32 teams for the next three seasons. ESPN cited the concerns at QB and head coach for the reasons their so low on Carolina. Julian Council tries to wrap his mind around why the national media has relatively ignored the progress to the roster and coaching staff additions that should set the Panthers up for more success in Carolina.

One of the main reasons the national media is selling Carolina heading into 2022 is the job status of Matt Rhule. Julian believes that that's not a good enough reason to bail on the Panthers. Are people overvaluing the importance of Rhule?
