Submit ReviewIn episode 135 we have a very resourceful discussion with Joey Min and Stephanie Pham of Art School Dropouts: A Film Production Company and YouTube Channel based in the east coast. They are a media group that creates narrative-driven weekly exciting, fun and “feel-good” content. We discuss how to build a family to work with on more than one project. *Correction in the title: Joey Min is the correct name.
We speak to the shift for filmmakers who are online. Filmmakers are also content creators who need to do more than make their films. They are also marketing and learning how to think as a business, in many ways.
In their company, Stephanie is the administrator and works on all the business details and marketing while Joey is the creative. Their synergy works very well for their company. They naturally became best friends and both care about their filmmaking family, their crew.
We discuss how constant practice and experience creates a much more fluid and expert experience as a filmmaker. You can then trust your intuition and create fantastic footage and content. Saving you production and on set time, and raising the quality of your projects.
