Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon presents revered British pop icon, Peter Noone (recorded at the end of 2019).

Peter discusses his extensive yearly touring schedule, being a music enthusiast, the beginnings of Herman's Hermits, songwriting, The Beatles & more, finding their place in a crowded radio marketplace, lyrics then and now, personal choice, working on Broadway, The Tremblers, a Farewell tour, his love of music, Casablanca Records, Neil Bogart, Tom Petty, Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones playing on Herman's Hermit songs and much much more.

On getting started in music: "I started off as an enthusiast of music. I bought records and went to see live music. I knew lots of people who were in groups that played in their sister's attic and the little local nightclubs. One day, I found myself in a band where I was not just and enthusiast, but a participant."

On a possible Farewell Tour: "I'm more like Mick Jagger. Arrogantly believing that I can pull it off for at least another ten years... Music is my hobby. When I hang up the phone with you, I'm going to play some music. That's what I do. When I'm in my car driving to a gig, I listen to music. Some people listen to the world news. I don't. I listen to music. And enjoy it, and smile and sing along and dislike and love and all of those things. So, why would I want to stop doing that?"

On Neil Bogart: "I don't know how good he was at business, but he was a great character."

On Coronation Street, he jokingly says, "I was in it in 1961 and it's still the number one show in England even without me in it." Get your MITCH MERCH here: https://loudtrax.com/Mitch Twitter: @mitchlafonInstagram: @mitch_lafonSubscribe to Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon for exclusive content and interviews.COMING SOON: mitchlafon.com
