Hour 1 The Mets lost game 2 last night in Milwaukee and Pete Alonso tripped on his own bat as he came out of the box. Alonso has been stuck in mediocrity for a long time now. He has been great in the field. In game 1, Carlos Mendoza made all the right moves. Last night, not so much. Tonight the Mets need something special from somebody. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Howie Rose as the Mets lost in Milwaukee. Jackson Chourio hit 2 homers. Garrett Mitchell also homered to put them up 5-3 and that was it. Jerry has audio of BT & Sal talking about the start time for game 3. They are very confused. Jerry has audio of Rob Saleh from Sunday talking about cadence being an issue and then we also heard from Saleh yesterday saying there was never an issue with cadence, ‘it was created’. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the national broadcasts of baseball games. They feel like they need to make them more interesting so they do things like in-game interviews which piss off fans. Hour 2 Boomer wonders if Taylor Swift will show up with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce at a Yankees/Royals game. Gio doesn’t see that happening. Antonio Brown had a graphic tweet about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Gio said you cannot cancel Antonio Brown because he isn’t connected to anything or anyone. It’s not like he’s going to lose sponsors, he doesn’t have any. Gio wonders who’s running his account and coming up with that stuff. Lots of reports saying Davante Adams wants to play for the Jets. A woman called who said Boomer is very inspiring in the way he talks and many of his quotes could be used by business leaders (she was being for real). Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of Brewers radio as they beat the Mets to take game 2. The Mets gave up 3 HRs that cost them. Carlos Mendoza explained some of his moves in the postgame. Rob Saleh talked about Aaron Rodgers’ knee and Sam Darnold’s performance so far this year. In the final segment of the hour, The Yankees don’t have to worry about the Astros or the Orioles this year with both getting swept. The Yankees have an easier path now because of that, but there’s more pressure. Hour 3 Davante Adams is heavily rumored to be coming to the Jets. Boomer said he’s a very good player and still has a lot left in the tank. But he is going to have to fit under the Jets salary cap and if this whole thing blows up, Joe Douglas and Rob Saleh won’t be running this team. If the Jets go to London and beat the Vikings, the stink of last week will have worn off. But if you come back off another loss, it’s going to get ugly. A caller doesn’t like the advertising on MLB helmets during the playoffs. Strauss is the company and we looked to see what they’re known for. Hour 4 Boomer’s super power is his body will not poop in places he does not want to. He does not go #2 in public places. Yesterday on the golf course, Boomer said to Gio, ‘my lower intestine is full’. He would not use the bathroom and Gio said that led to a day of flatulence. One was heard from 300 yards away.
