The Lakers kicked off their first big road trip of the season in spectacular fashion, winning their best game of this season and probably last year as well, 133-129 over the Bucks in Milwaukee. Once again, it was Anthony Davis leading the way. This time, he blew up for 44 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots, extending an eye-popping, MVP caliber run to eight games. The Lakers got plenty from the rest of the squad, including 27/11 from LeBron James, 11 dimes from Russell Westbrook (who had assists on his first five possessions Friday night), and Lonnie Walker IV, who poured in 14 points in the third quarter.

Basically, every Laker who stepped on the floor brought something useful to the table. Now winners of seven games in their last nine tries, the Lakers go to Washington on Sunday with a real chance to turn this road trip into something special.

It's been a minute, but Lakers fans might actually be excited about the team. Like, legitimately looking forward to the next game.
