Submit ReviewThis week on No Simple Road we are extremely honored to have Bob Bralove and Tom Constanten of Dose Hermanos as our guests! Though both came to prominence associated with the Grateful Dead, Tom as keyboard player from 1968 to 1970, and Bob as an engineer, programmer, and occasional performer from 1987 to 1995, this music is Dead-like only in its wide-open, wholly improvisational exploration of a vast musical universe with only one rule: does the result, said Bralove, “feel like Dose?”
This talk takes us all over the map of the 100 Acre Wood! We talk about:
-Creating music that is completely free of structure with only the idea of an image or picture in mind.
-Why music is different for the perpetrator and the appreciator.
-How the two of them have developed as artists over the years.
-The way Bob received a 'transmission' from The Gyoto Monks.
-Each of their takes on why some folks find spirituality through music.
-Creating the new album 'Persistence Of Memory'.
-How it feels to still be working together all these year later...
..and so much more!
