(Cosmic) Pizza with Riker! Nicolas Cage! Star Trek! Marvel! So much more!

This week's episode brings you more of what you love, but this time, it's so much better! Our co-host for this episode is Paul Wright (you know him as our UK Correspondant, my co-host on Sci-Fi Waffle and the Cosmic Pizza Podcast).

Marvel News: Wandavision premiered this past Friday on Disney+. We have some first impressions, but no spoilers. Kevin Feige confirmed Deadpool 3 will start filming in 2022. It will be rated R and be part of the MCU. Charlie Cox is said to have finished filming as DareDevil on the set of Spiderman 3. And Chris Evans may or may not be back as Captain America in a future Marvel project.

Star Trek News: Patrick Stewart wins best actor in a sci-fi role for his portrayal of Captain Picard on Star Trek: Picard. Star Trek also picks up a Legacy Award at the Critics Choice Super Awards. Shawn and Paul also discuss Lower Decks, Discovery and Strange New Worlds. EXO-6 is a toy company that recently acquired the license to make Trek figures. First Contact Data is now up for pre-order.

Amazon Prime's Lord of the Rings television series is in the news. It will reportedly take place in the second age, 3000 years before the events of the films. It is currently filming in New Zealand and is expected to run for at least 5 seasons.

Willy's Wonderland! A new film from Nicolas Cage is coming February 12. He plays a man who must clean a restaurant over night in order to get money for car repairs. Havoc and mayhem and demonic animatronics!

This week in television: Talking about some of the recent things we have been watching. We are talking about Lost, Orphan Black, The Queen's Gambit and Bridgerton.

This week's celebrity news: We say good-bye to Jessica Campbell (38), Siegfried Fischbacher (81), and Peter Mark Richman (93). We wish Betty White a happy 99th birthday today. And we are sad to report that Saved by the Bell actor Dustin Diamond is suffering from stage 4 cancer.
