In the first of new series, Oliver Hides follows the 1500 staff and pupils of St Teilo's Church in Wales High School as they return to the classroom. For the past six months, St Teilo’s corridors have been largely silent, first through the Coronavirus lockdown and then through the Summer holidays. Now, after weeks of planning and preparation, the classrooms are once again full, to the delight of head teacher Ian Loynd. But it isn’t business as usual. It's a very different St Teilo’s that pupils and staff are returning to, with a whole host of new rules and ways of doing things. And then there’s the ever-present prospect that a single case of Covid-19 could see a whole year group told to go home and stay home for a fortnight.
