Submit ReviewToday on the DFO Rundown, Frank Seravalli and Jason Gregor dug into all the stories around the NHL as the league returns from its All Star break. First on the agenda was what went down in Vegas over the weekend, both good and bad. Trevor Zegras stole the show with another highlight reel move in shootout challenge, but it was enough to beat the hometown favourite Alex Pietrangelo who missed the net. They continued to discuss what went well and areas of improvement for All Star weekend.
The talk then moved on to the New York Rangers. The Rangers are in a great spot right now, sitting second in the Metropolitan Division, but what will they do at the deadline? Is it time for them to go all in and make a run for Lord Stanley?
Finally, the Chicago Blackhawks were in the headlines again this past week. One piece of news was that former Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers General Manager Peter Chiarelli had been interviewed for the vacant position in Chicago. The second was a little more controversial after chairman Rocky Wirtz refused to answer questions about the sexual assault case in 2010.
