Many people may be familiar with predictive analytics, especially since it's one of the seven patterns of AI. Predictive analytics uses past and current data to help humans make future predictions. It's used for “What might happen” analysis. In addition, we also explain descriptive, diagnostic, and Proscriptive / Projective Analytics. We explain how these terms relate to AI. And, also why it's important to know about them.
