Architect Taylor Davis joins me on this episode to talk about her specialty, aging in place in a home that you love. We talked about what it means to age in place, why designing for older adults means actually designing for everyone, some "invisible" ways that architects can help create homes that anticipate future needs, and her belief that beautiful spaces and aging in place spaces are not mutually exclusive concepts.

About our guest:

Taylor is the founder of TPD Architect, a residential architecture, interiors and planning firm that specializes in helping families live longer in homes they love. As an architect, Taylor is focused on thoughtful design strategies to address the unique needs of her clients, whether that involves working with a growing family or a couple downsizing for the next chapter.

A mother of three, Taylor enjoys travel, especially Italy, and her tap dancing classes. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia. She is a Councilor of the Birmingham chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is NCARB certified and recently completed her Aging in Place Certification through the National Association of Home Builders.
