For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Chase Greenlee, creative director of Ghostlight Media. It is with a profoundly heavy heart that I tell you that one of our own, Brittany Albrecht, host of I Missed It and wife to our own Ryan Albrecht, has passed away after a protracted battle with cancer. Her final days were spent with her two young children, who even while in pain was determined to give the most normal life she could.
On a more personal note, I had the pleasure of knowing Brittany for just north of ten years. To say that she was funny, kind, and smart would be like saying the sun was bright, or that dirt is “kinda brownish”. She was a teacher, a stage manager, a friend, a wife and a mother, and each role she took as seriously as the last. Everyone was her child, which meant that when you were around her you were deeply and truly cared for. She knew what you needed whether it was a hug, a word, or a very stern talking to. Even in cases of the latter nobody left her presence in want of care.
We will be taking the following week off of our normal production schedule to take time to mourn and grieve. We will return on Sunday, December 20th with an episode of Imprinted Echoes as well as this month’s Patreon Bonus Episode. We all thank you for your consideration at this time.
