When I help you earn media exposure, it won’t do much for your business if you don’t know what to do next.

In this podcast episode, Nikki Rausch will show you how to take the leads you generate from PR and move them along the selling staircase.

Nikki walks us through the five steps of an authentic selling process in a way that builds relationships, creates true connection, and results in more closed deals and long-term clients.

And if you hate sales, this episode will teach you how to like it… and be good at it!

In a nutshell, these are the steps:

1. Introduction

This can come through a media appearance or at an event or it can be a referral. It’s all about making a positive first impression.

2. Create a little curiosity

This is when someone finds out more about who you are what you do so you can see if the person is a potential customer. If you skip this, no one gives you buying signals.

3. Discover

Here you ask what is their problem, their need, and their want. You’re not selling. You’re asking strategic questions to ask permission to move to step four.

4. Proposal

Now you layout an offer based on what you find out in the discovery so you don’t miss what was said that turns into gold nuggets.

5. Close

This is where you issue close language. You get here by following all the steps. No skipping!
