Elisabeth Bumiller | Condoleeza Rice | Book Review by Lisa Woodruff of Organize 365

On Mondays, I will be posting a podcast recording of previously recorded book reviews. These are books that have impacted me that I want to share with you.

Today, I am reviewing Condoleezza Rice - An American Life: A Biography by Elisabeth Bumiller.

Condoleezza Rice does not have her own company, but she has run the United States for foreign affairs, and I want to continue my focus on political figures during this month. I knew so little about Condoleezza Rice before reading this book, but I was awed by the story of her life. She grew up in Birmingham in the middle of the Civil Right Movements. She struggled in many ways and success did not come easily for her. She made the best of some difficult situations, and ultimately succeeded by outworking and outhustling others. That inspires me to know that I can succeed through hard work and consistency. It was also fascinating to think about how depth of knowledge and the timing of events can change our life path.
