“Understanding their role, what they do, who they interface with, what the challenges of their role is trying to ascertain, and  what seniority and authority they have, because sometimes, even if the head of HR has the budget and has proved of the piece of work, your day to day contact may not be with them, it may be with another stakeholder. So make sure you really understand what their role is, who they are in the business and what their challenges are super important.”
