Welcome back to yet another quarantined edition of the Drive & Dish NBA podcast. Before hoops, the guys update what they’ve been updated (hint, not much) during the outbreak including Tiger King. After that, the duo dives right into the action, including Marcus Smart and the other 4 Brooklyn Nets recovering from Coronavirus, and growing pessimism that the NBA season will resume this year’s season. Kevin looks at the updated timeline with Toronto banning public events thru June 30th, and Justin says why it would need weeks to take off anyway. After that, the guys jump into some Who’s Ballin Who’s Fallin, including a Vince Carter autograph not from VC as the two put their detective hats on. Other topics include LaMelo Ball buying his Australian team, Garrett Temple studying to be a law student, and the Knicks apparent interest in Sixers GM Elton Brand. The guys discuss why that makes no sense at all. After that, the duo gets into some discussion about the first few games of the NBA 2k tournament. Justin looks over some key highlights from each matchup, including Pat Bev being able to tell the future, and Zach Lavine doing a 360 dunk from the free-throw line. Kevin explains why he was disappointed in the event overall, and how it needs a lot of work to become more sustainable. Finally, the guys end the show with some Hot Takes from Reddit, which this week includes league’s ending their seasons after Toronto wins their first championships.
