Submit ReviewThe moment that I met Yuma Haidara through the team at Oofos in preparation for our Boston Marathon event, I knew I needed to sit down with her for the show. For episode 251, she talks to me about enlisting in the navy and what it was like to see combat, plus how that experience impacts her to this day. She talks openly about her experience with Home Base, a national nonprofit dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for Veterans of all era, and the struggle of losing some of her closest friends to suicide. She also talks about how she stumbled into a career of commercial truck driving, and how that was actually the influence for her to start taking care of herself through journaling, therapy, and running. Yuma is an Oofos ambassador, and to thank them for connecting us, I worked with the team to round up some of my favorite picks here at this link.
