Melissa Humana-Paredes and Alex Hyndman both had dreams of representing their country while competing in their career sport! Melissa, a beach volleyball badass and Alex, a para-cycling beast! Those dreams were put on hold when Canada became one of the first nations to pull out their athletes from the upcoming 2020 Olympics due to concerns over the pandemic. The rest of the world followed suit and the games have been postponed to 2021. If all goes well.

This week we bring to you a doubleheader and speak to the athletes who were affected by this decision and what it means to maintain an Olympic physique during a worldwide lockdown. Thanks to the Canadian Olympic Committee & Canadian Paralympic Committee for giving us a glimpse into the lives of some of Canadas most impressive humans!
