We’re talking fertiliser all this week and bought-in fertiliser has a massive price tag for farmers at the moment, so there’s growing interest in finding ways to reduce reliance on it. For livestock and mixed farmers that might mean using more animal manure, but if you’re an arable farmer without livestock, you can use companion cropping.
