Can crowdfunding be a viable source for the indie music artist to assist in paying for the project, or cover such things as the cost of getting out on the road touring?

Not all crowdfunding platforms are created equal and Carl Allocco, along with Nicole Hogland from MCRCrowdfund explain to us that with their curated approach, their company is tailored to the indie music artists needs.

They not only show the artist how to raise funding, but can guide artists, after they raise capital, as how to best utilize the funds in order to move the needle forward in their career. They also provide data that crowdfunding is crucial to helping music artists prove to labels, managers, publishers, agents, etc. that their fans will actually participate in their career growth.

At Music Careers Reimagined, Carl and Nicole aim to provide up-and-coming artists with real, honest advice about making it in the music industry. Based in New York and Nashville, these experts approach the field from a distinctive perspective. Their team share one overarching priority: helping the next generation of artists to understand the music business in all of its complexity.

Nowadays, the business is more volatile than ever. The folks at MCRCrowdfund recognize this and look forward to giving the artist the tools needed to ensure they’re equipped for whatever their journey may entail.

Over the span of nearly four decades, Carl Allocco has experienced all aspects of the music industry and has played and recorded with some of the best musicians in the business. As an artist, Carl has been signed to RCA and MCA Records. Early in his career, he was managed by Tommy Mottola (former head of Sony Music) and Camille Barbone (Madonna). In the mid-90s, Carl began working as an independent singer-songwriter in Nashville. In recent years, Carl has managed web and creative services for music companies across the country. He founded MCRCrowdfund in the fall of 2020.

Nicole Hoglund, with more than 15 years of experience in marketing and organizational communication and restructuring, comes to MCRCrowdfund with the drive and expertise to guide musicians on how to successfully crowdfund their next music project.

She has worked with a variety of companies, running the gamut from small businesses and start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, helping each company to grow their bottom lines, teams and goals.
