If we want to see crypto adoption it's important that we use the right tool for the right problem.  Often projects have to make a choice to trade off between scalability and decentralization. Cypherium has a public blockchain, a private blockchain and a hybrid consensus mechanism so that instead of finding a halfway point of best fit, they can use a private chain or public chain where appropriate.  

Will hybrid chains be the future?  James Orbison thinks so.
