What are Shorty Awards?
The Shorty Awards honor the best of social media by recognizing the influencers, brands and organizations on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine and more. Past winners include Taylor Swift, Tyler Oakley, Hannibal Buress, Malala Yousafzai, Jenna Marbles, Susan Orlean, PewDiePie, Alton Brown, Smosh and NASA. What happens on social media can change the world, create new stars and ignite global movements. The Shorty Awards were the first awards to honor social media, and by constantly evolving along with the medium it honors The Shortys remains the most prominent award show of its kind, engaging an online audience of millions and culminating in a blockbuster ceremony in New York City. Winners are chosen through a combination of votes from the public and scores given by the Real Time Academy.
Who is Megan Frantz?
Megan has spent her career bridging the worlds between entertainment and the internet. Beginning her career in television, she has been a producer for Animal Planet, FOX, Nat Geo, and NYCLife. Currently, she is the Senior Producer for the Shorty Awards, which honors the best content creators and brands on social media. She has also freelanced in social media and community management for brands such as Dylan's Candy Bar, Elizabeth Arden, and Veet. Driven by creative projects and building community, Megan co-founded Women Who Brunch in 2013, a monthly brunch event series for women in the New York City Area. She also produces events for Community Manager Meetup and Trivia AD, a pop culture trivia company.
About Vincenzo Landino:
Vincenzo is an entrepreneur, speaker and host of the Brand Boost Podcast. He is the the founder and Creative Director of Fifty 2 Creative, a digital ad agency specializing in brand amplification and digital storytelling. With experience as a brand correspondent, Vincenzo’s portfolio includes a 1 billion impression campaign launch for Applebee’s as well as work for Mazda, Kia Motors, Paul Mitchell Schools, Barilla Pasta, DC United, Tinder, and Zoomph.
Outside of his professional life, Vincenzo is a die-hard Steelers fan, avid golfer and wine maker.
