Three critical races for the US Senate, in the southeast region of the country, who’s outcomes could very well determine the fate of our American democracy. ——-

Florida, Georgia and North Carolina, offer intriguing opportunities for the Democratic Party, to expand its slim majority in US Senate.

Our panelists of commentators, are drawn from from the above mentioned states, because of their personal experiences with the campaigns and are their involvement with the politics of those states. ———

Another interesting fact about these three close senatorial races, is that they involve four African American candidates, including incumbent Georgia Senator, Reverend Raphael Warnock. ———

Attorney Forriss Elliott Sr., longtime Regional Director of the NAACP Legal Fund’s Redress office in the St. Louis, before relocating to Atlanta some 30 years ago, speaks candidly of his disdain for Trump backed candidate, Herschel Walker’s’ effort to unseat, Senator Warnock in the November midterm elections. Elliott also discusses the Stacy Abrams race for Governor of the state of Georgia. ———

Tangazo commentator Dorothy Inman-Johnson, first African American woman mayor of Tallahassee Florida, a political operative along with her husband Reverend Lee Johnson, gives us an up close look at Florida’s politics.

Our focus in Florida is on  the campaign of Democratic Congresswoman Val Deming’s, who is waging a fierce campaign to unseat incumbent Senator Marko Rubio, the candidates are separated by less than 2 percentage points. ——-

We also welcome Dr. Antonio Knox PhD and 40th  Grand Basileus, of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Dr Knox, is  a  North Carolina native and personal friend Of Chief Justice Cherie Beasley, Democratic candidate for the US Senate. ———

Judge Beasley,  is challenging Republican Congressman, Ted Bud for the Senate seat of Retiring Senator Richard M. Burr. The DNC has began directing more funding to the Beasley campaign ,which has drawn within 1 percentage point of Republican Congressman Bud.  A victory in that campaign, would greatly improve Democratic chances to maintain control of the US Senate and perhaps save our American Democracy. ———
