Learning To Be Ok With Making A Pivot Or Switch

When you start your business you are most likely still in the learning phase...learning what you enjoy doing, what services you want to offer, and what clients you want to market to. It is natural and absolutely ok to pivot along the way. You might find you don’t like a certain service you offer or maybe there’s a service you fall in love with and want to completely focus on. The key is to remember that this is your business and your journey and you get to choose the road you travel on.

Get Organized With Your Finances And Processes

When starting your business I highly recommend you get organized when it comes to your finances and your processes. Don’t wait until the end of the year to organize your receipts or invoices. I love QuickBooks online and highly recommend it. It’s literally dummy proof when you set it up with your business credit card and checking account linked to it. Write down the process you use for everything you do in your business. Whether you believe it or not, eventually you are going to grow to the point where you will hire someone to join your team. It’s going to be much easier to bring them onboard if you already have the processes you use written down.

Finding Strength In A Support System

Being an entrepreneur can be very lonely at times which is why I am a big believer in having a strong support network. I’m lucky that my husband is my biggest cheerleader, but I also lean on my mentor and my good friend who is also on this journey alongside me. Find people who are where you are in their business and those who are further along. You will learn so much from both of them and you will also find strength when you need it most!

Share what you’ve learned in your business and what your takeaways were from today’s episode! How can we help each other?
